Summer Rain On the Porch

Compared to many relaxation/nature sounds cds, I prefer this. Many are overdone with too many animal noises or feel the need to play synthesizer chords over the top of the nature sounds. Summer Rain is nice, it sounds like they took a microphone out on a porch during a summer rain storm and recorded. No more, no less. There is the constant sound of rain against the porch roof, often changing in intensity with the intermittent sound of larger drops of water plunking onto the ground. There the rare rumble of thunder in the distance. And there is the occasional chirping of a bird or buzz of a bug. And the best part is that you can get the whole thing for less than a dollar.

Probably my favorite of the dozen or so nature cds that I own.

I use this track as a background music track on my Kindle or while I'm working and reading at my desk.
